Situated in southern Ontario, within the Greater Toronto Area and the Halton Region, the Town of Oakville is a dynamic community. With a population exceeding 200,000, Oakville is continually evolving into a culturally diverse city that values inclusivity. The town has implemented its 2021 Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan, aiming to foster a sense of belonging for all residents. Oakville is divided into six distinct divisions, encompassing twelve neighborhoods, while the northern area remains under development. The ambitious North Oakville development project was initiated in 2006 and is currently in progress as of 2021.
